Purpose Proposition of CISCE

The Council for the Indian School Certificate (CISCE) Examinations is committed to: Serving the youth of the country, ensuring the provision of excellent education, enabling them to make contributions to a society that is just, humane, and pluralistic, encouraging contemplative life, developing engaging learning opportunities, and providing excellence in education.

The structure of CISCE was chosen to ensure that the Anglo-Indian community is adequately represented in the Government of India, State Governments, and Union Territories where the CISCE has associated schools. The Inter-State Board for Anglo-Indian Education, the Association of Heads of Anglo-Indian Schools, the Indian Public Schools&aphos; Conference, the Association of Schools for the ICSE & ISC Examination, and members co-opted by the Council&aphos;s Executive Committee coordinating matters.

The CISCE has demonstrated excellence in delivering a high standard of education, as is evident in the affiliated schools it has developed, many of which were founded more than a century ago and which uphold traditional values and lofty ideals. In the global vision of CISCE, English serves as the foundation for all communication. This fosters the growth and development of strong linguistic abilities, which are essential on a worldwide scale.
